Over 15 years, I've secured and project managed large-scale material recovery and remediation projects across some of Australia's most remote and demanding sites — several of which became ongoing annual contracts.
Key Waste Recovery & Recycling Projects across NT, SA & WA.
Regional Battery Recycling Rollout (NT & WA): Rolled out public drop-off battery recycling infrastructure across every major town and city along the Adelaide-to-Darwin corridor, extending through North West WA.
Statewide Battery Logistics Network (SA): Project manage year-round, high-turnover battery recycling collection networks across South Australia, covering Mt Gambier to Ceduna, Coober Pedy, and the Riverland region.
McArthur River Mine (NT): Cleared 400 tonnes of ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal, batteries and recyclable material to make way for a new energy plant, establishing a track record that secured an ongoing annual clean-up contract.
Rio Tinto / Pacific Aluminium (Nhulunbuy, NT): Managed the transport of 1,000+ tonnes of ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal, batteries and recyclable material during shipping shortages by pivoting logistics to dry-season trucking into Darwin, securing local council landfill lay-down areas to maintain client timelines.
GEMCO / BHP (Groote Eylandt, NT): Removed and barged 500+ tonnes of ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal, batteries and recyclable material back to Port Darwin to enable a critical mine expansion.
Maningrida Indigenous Community (NT): Cleared 300 tonnes of ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal, batteries and recyclable material, barging baled scrap back to Darwin to remediate land and make the site safe for future residential development.
Department of Defence (Quail Island, NT): Led the clearance and off-island barging of inert WWII ordnance while navigating extreme spring tide constraints, successfully remediating the land for hand-back to traditional owners. Complex multi-agency coordination under tight environmental and safety conditions.
Rio Tinto — Argyle Diamond Mine (East Kimberley, WA): Executed the clearance of 500+ tonnes of ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal, batteries and recyclable material trucked to Darwin, building key site relationships that converted the initial scope into an ongoing annual service contract.
Savannah Nickel-Copper-Cobalt Mine (East Kimberley, WA): Removed 800+ tonnes of ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal, batteries and recyclable material from the dump pit and coordinated long-haul trucking to both Port Hedland and Darwin, converting the project into an annual remediation agreement.
